THCN: a CBN-based infusion

As we said, THCN is a mix. But unlike THM, which is a cocktail of minor and major cannabinoids, THCN is a mix created from an isolate infusion with a high concentration of CBN. Unlike other methods of adding cannabinoids, such as coating or spraying, infusion allows the CBN to penetrate to the very heart of the flowers, radically changing their properties and effects.

 

 

What is CBN

The CBN with which we infuse our THC N flowers is a natural minor cannabinoid. Unlike most known cannabinoids, it is not synthesized directly by the plant.

 

Cannabinol (CBN) is the result of the degradation of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is a relatively fragile and unstable molecule; under the effect of heat and light, particularly UV light, tetrahydrocannabinol degrades. During degradation, it loses its hydrogen atoms, described in its name as "tetrahydro", and becomes cannabinol.

What are the effects of CBN according to studies?

Although derived from THC, CBN has radically different effects. For a start, CBN doesn't cause a high or dependence, which is why it's legal, unlike THC. Secondly, CBN is known to :

 

Its sedative and sleep-enhancing effects

A study conducted by Steep Hill Labs indicated that CBN could be a powerful sedative, comparable to pharmaceutical drugs such as diazepam.

 

 

Its analgesic properties

A study published in the Journal of Neuroscience in 2002 revealed that CBN, in combination with CBD, could reduce pain sensitivity in rats. This suggests a possible anti-pain effect.

Its anti-inflammatory properties

A 2016 study published in the Journal of Neuroimmunology showed that CBN could reduce inflammation associated with arthritis in animal models.

Appetite stimulation

A 2012 study showed that CBN increased food consumption in rats, suggesting a possible application for appetite disorders.

Better bioavailability of cannabinoids thanks to infusion

Infusing the cbd flower in a CBN isolate increases the total cannabinoid concentration of the flowers. This means that when used in infusion, inhalation or vaporization, they release a higher proportion of active ingredients. THCN flowers are far more potent than conventional CBD flowers. Thanks to THCN, you may have to reduce your consumption to achieve the same effects as with classic CBD flower.

To make our THCN, we start by selecting cannabidiol flowers grown hydroponically. With this method of cultivation, the plants' roots grow directly in water containing the nutrients and mineral salts they need. As a result, they grow with minimal effort to absorb the nutrients they need, and can concentrate on growing flowers. The result: bigger, denser, tastier flowers. Plants grown this way can achieve up to 20% higher cannabinoid and terpene levels than those grown in soil.

 

Premium quality flowers are used. Our gentle infusion technique keeps the terpenes and flavonoids totally intact. The result is a THCN flower with aromas as deep and pronounced as its potency.

Combined effect: synergy between CBD and CBN
